      LL Cool J’s Platinum Workout traces the development of LL Cool J’s body to a body to be envied by all men. He mixes the secret of his transformation with a down-to-earth regimen and humor. Using these elements, LL Cool J hopes to inspire readers to enjoy working out and building a body they never thought they could have.

Similar to rating used in the Olympic competitions, the book is divided into four sections: The Bronze Body, The Silver Body, The Gold Body and The Platinum Body. Of course, the book is more than just plans for working out. A great deal of attention is paid to nutrition and other steps that need to be seen to before the workout begin.

Once the reader is physically and emotionally fit for the regimen, he has many exercises with written and photographic directions. Some of the workout illustrations are full page photos of LL Cool J working out and demonstrating the exercise.

If a reader is convinced he cannot attain a platinum body, the book is so arranged that he can settle for one of the lower body builds.

Other than the well-defined workout instructions, the book has much to offer in the way of nutrition and maintaining the body. LL Cool J does advise his readers to avoid steroids at all costs. A good read even for those of us who can’t attain a platinum body.
