Maxwell did a great job
of reading this audio book. As an experienced author and speaker,
he mixes the information with good delivery by engaging the
reader through his spoken word. There is something about listening
to an author speak to you. You just want to trust them.
This
is the third book in the Laws series. This book provides steps
to change. He uses power points to help the reader follow
his instruction. He gives numerous anecdotes to bring a commonality
to readers and make the material clear to everyone, no matter
what your background.
His message
is clear. He wants you to value yourself and therefore value
others by serving. Do the right thing. Being true to yourself
builds character and confidence. To grow involves tension
between where you are and where you want to be. If you lose
that, you cannot grow. Positive habits, actions, and decisions
builds self-esteem. Self-talk is important. Praise yourself
for your small victories.
This
is an inspiring and encouraging book that can change your
thinking from guilt and apathy to what "could be".
His strategy is to select the one word that describes you
to find out what really makes you tick. Based on his advice
to pause and reflect, my reflection is, this book is really
moving. Great audio book to listen to when you are alone in
the car during your commute. It gives YOU time to pause for
reflection.
