JADE is the third book in the Wildflowers series. Jade’s parents are also divorced. Jade and her family are very rich. They both work. Her father is a self-employed architect and her mom is a sales manager for a large cosmetics company.  Both parents blame each other for their daughter’s emotional problems.  Jade’s father blames her mother by saying she is too self-centered. Her mother says that he was the one who could’ve taken time off work to help raise Jade since he is his own boss. Jade has no siblings. The story becomes more and more depressing and aggravating as she tell of her parents of her parents using her as a major playing piece in the complex game of divorce.

Though I was intrigued by the overall concept of the story, it lacked the ethos to keep me interested. The author’s ability to show that a person that is higher on the financial status can have the same problems as a person who isn’t as well off is a really good way to show the equality of everyone, and if the emotional content had been more catching, it would’ve made a better book. I would recommend this book for older teens and college students.
