A Whole New Breed
The
Naphtali Chronicles, No 1
By T. Anthony Truax
College
student Mark Roberts' promising football career is about to make
a change he doesn't see coming. The violent death of his sister
will take Mark and his friends in a direction he could not have
imagined in his wildest dreams. Can he avenge his sisters death?
Can he find the killer or killers?
Mark's journey takes him into
a whole new world. Guided by his philosophy professor Dr. Lansing,
Mark hopes to learn about the secrets he himself possesses. Can
Mark learn how to use them to protect innocent people? Mark has
to trust his long time best friend and roommate Kevin Bass. Will
anyone believe that werewolves and vampires really exist?
Mark and Kevin, along with other supporting
friends, begin their serious journey when people around them begin
dying. Mark must quickly learn how to use what it is his mother
has been keeping secret from him all these years. Mark must learn
to master his own powers to conquer a supernatural force that could
ultimately change the fate of the human race. Locating his sister's
killer and saving innocent lives will depend on that.
This werewolf story intertwines folklore
at its finest where the battle for control exists between the beast
and the blood thirsty. I enjoyed reading this story and look forward
to another in this series. Where will Mark's journey take him now
that he is no longer a college football player? Has he avenged his
sister's death? Is Mark a whole new breed, or did he just carry
the genes from the past into the future with no desire to test them?
The Naphtali Chronicles has the promise to be an exciting
series.
