True Confessions of a Heartless Girl

By Martha Brooks

Lynda Bradley is the proprietor of the Molly Thorvaldson Café in Pembina Lake. Her days are ordinary – well, as ordinary as life in a small close-knit town can be – but one night all that changes.

Noreen doesn’t love anyone. Only seventeen and pregnant, she runs like a bat out of hell in a truck she stole, and with money that isn’t hers either. Stopping at the café, she never thought her plans to run from all the bitterness would land her in such a strange, nosy town. Now Noreen has to figure out what she’s going to do next – if her bitter anger doesn’t consume her first.

“True Confessions of a Heartless Girl” is an awe-inspiring story about love, anger, bitterness, and the miraculous sense of humor Fate has. Noreen and Lynda are two women in two different times in life looking for the same things. I recommend this book for anyone who loves a good story about the realities of life and the enlightened hand of Fate.
