Princess Izzy and the E Street Shuffle
by Beverly Bartlett
Princess Izzy and the E Street Shuffle is the story of Princess Izzy and how she got advice from an American
mechanic who would quote Bruce Springsteen songs; and how many of those decisions changed not only her life but the
lives of others. There is a lot of mystery and many secrets are revealed and it gets really interesting towards
the end (almost like an entertainment magazine disclosing the secret lives of famous people) as the story picks up.
Beverly Bartlett has written a book with interesting characters. Price Raphael (who is more interested in speech
pathology and research than in being part of the royal family of Bisbainia) and Princess Izzy are very complex and
interesting. At times, I wanted desperately to know who the author was writing about: it was as if I should remember
this royal family somehow. But since it is all made up, I believe it was Bartlett’s creative writing that drew me in. |
