School's Out - Forever
Maximum Ride Book, No 2

by James Patterson
Read by Valentina de Angelis

Max, Nudge, Angel, the Gasman, Fang, and Iggy are back, and the Erasers are still pursuing them. Fang is hurt in a battle and Max has no choice but to take him to a hospital. Due their unusual nature (bird DNA), someone calls in the FBI. They agree to take care of Fang, if Max and the others agree to stay with FBI Agent Anne Walker - a woman in desperate need of a cookbook -or better yet, a cook. Walker helps the kids settle into a nice comfy home, but Max never lets her guard down. While there, they agree to attend school. Blending in becomes extremely difficult and playing hooky becomes the only option. During their stay at the hospital and later at the Walker’s house Max is frightened by something she sees in her bathroom mirror. Her fear is more for her flock than her self. Max still hears the voice in her head, advising her on decisions and guiding her on a journey to save the world. In this episode The Flock learn more about their parents and their genetic change. They also discover their pet has a special gift.

This is one series mystery and science fiction fans will enjoy having in common. What began as a Patterson thriller has become an extremely popular teen and young adult series. But young and old alike follow the adventures of Max and friends. School’s Out - Forever has a bit more humor, answers questions from previous novels and leaves listeners begging for more. Fair warning: there are spoilers from the previous books, which begs to mention, if you haven’t joined in on Max’s high flying journey, you should, it’s exhilarating.
