Secrets of My Hollywood Life
by Jen Calonita
Kaitlin Burke has everything: a big house, fame, fortune, a role on a hit soap opera, personal
assistants, her own make up artists, and even her own tutor in place of school. With the
exception of some tabloid gossip stirred up by her costar, Sky, Kaitlin's life is the
American dream. It's picture perfect... on the outside.
There is one thing missing - one thing for which she is willing to risk everything:
a normal teenage life. Kaitlin devises a plan- the acting role of her life time. She wants
to go under cover at Clark Hall high school as a regular student.
As the plan begins to fall into place, an opportunity to work with Hutch Adams, one of
Hollywood's biggest producers, occurs. Kaitlin is up against fierce competition for the
role, including her costar, Sky. Sky will stop at nothing to land the role.
While Kaitlin waits for word from Hutch Adams, she continues on with her plan. Posing
as Rachel - her disguise - she attends Clark Hall, but the plan is not without obstacles.
Although Kaitlin is on a break from her famous soap opera series, she still has to merge
her hectic celebrity life with her undercover world. One minute she is studying as Rachel
for a French quiz then the next minute she is Kaitlin for a photo shoot. Never without
her trusty Sidekick to keep her schedule organized, Rachel, er, uh Kaitlin seems to be
pulling off her plan...until the Sidekick goes missing.
Secrets of My Hollywood Lifeis a five star book. I couldn't put the book down
until I was finished reading it. Jen Calonita does an amazing job bringing her characters
to life. She portrays a teenager's life perfectly - in and out of Hollywood. Everyone
will be able to relate to Kaitlin Burke on some level. I can't recommend the story enough.
Lots of Hollywood secrets are shared, and every page is full of twists and suspense. It
is a great, great, GREAT story. |
