Land Stories by Chris Colfer is a juvenile series that
has quickly became popular with both kids and grownups. "The
Curvy Tree" is a short story from the series. It's a
story about a little girl who runs into the forest after suffering
cruel treatment by the other children in the village. She
finds a curved tree to sit under and cry. The curvy tree tries
to make the little girl feel better by sharing his own story
about not fitting in, in the hopes she'll understand this
is just a small part of growing up.
Listeners
of the audio version can once again enjoy an engaging narration
by the author. The audio version is only six minutes long,
but parents can expect to hit replay more than once.
