Book
Marketing from A to Z
By
Francine Silverman
I
have worked in the book industry for the past six years. I am fully
convinced that promoting a book is one of the most challenging aspects
an author faces. New authors live under the illusion that if they
can get their book published, their worries will be over. This misconceived
concept is one that many fall into, for they do not realize they
must think of getting their book out into the world. Self-promotion
is the key to any book's success. Publishers today are not willing
to go that extra mile to promote their clients work; instead, they
expect that if promotion is to be done, it is up to the author to
make the determination of whether they hire a Literary Agent or
self promote. And who better to promote their own book than the
author?
Book
Marketing from A to Z is a must read for any author, no matter
what stage they find their publishing career in. It consists of
more than 300 authors who share their knowledge and testimonials
of what worked best for them and enabled their own book to get into
the public's eyes. Every topic is covered from A-Z in this book.
Some of the more noteworthy topics include: how to find book reviews,
write media releases, and pitch your book to the media. The wealth
of knowledge found in this book is endless. The sense of understanding
and motivating is priceless. Very highly recommended.
