In Good Health, Good Life, Joyce reminds us we are more than physical beings. We are spirit, soul, and body, and each part needs to be maintained. Meyer gives readers 12 keys to direct their path to physical and spiritual wellness. She recommends working on one at a time. Meyer also includes a place in the back of the book to jot down the keys you apply to your life.

The primary key (Key #1) is Get God’s Help. Joyce addresses the different diets she tried. She believes God’s Power is better than will power because we are not willpower-led but spirit-led. She lists 5 ways to let God help. #6 Water Your Life took me by surprise because like others I was dependent on sweet tea, coffee, snacks for energy. Meyer tells us there are low grade and high grade water levels in the body and that your brain and body depend on water to work. If you’re feeling tired or possibly have low blood sugar, water is the answer. Hydration is important, whether it's water or fruit. You will be surprised at how helpful this key and the others can be in your life. Meyer also addresses Metabolism, eating, exercising, and most of all, responsibility.

Good Health, Good Life is 135 pages full of wisdom and guidance that I will turn to again and again. As always, Meyer backs her teachings with personal experience and scripture. Faith is at the forefront, but Meyer’s goal is tell readers/listeners to love and embrace themselves. She doesn’t want our egos to get caught up in the media hype that tells us how we should look. Good Health, Good Life is full of positive lessons that I want to share with others like myself.

The audio version of Good Health, Good Life is ready by actress and seasoned narrator Jodi Carlisle. Her narration is comforting and persistent, like only a best friend can be.
