Patterson and
Jones team up to readers 12.5 in the Private Series. It’s
summer and former US Marine and owner of Private Investigations
is back in London. Jack and Peter Knight, Head of Private’s
London office, are enjoying the celebrations of the Queens
90th birthday, when Colonel De Villiers, head of security
for the royal family’s inner circle, seeks them out.
The Colonel is the reason Private lost out on a security gig
in the celebration.
Later, the Duke of Aldershot calls them about
his daughter, Abbie. Abbie is a drug addict, something we
learn the kidnapper hates about her. The Duke tells Jack the
kidnapper is asking for a staggering ransom amount, and he
doesn’t have it. Eventually two deaths occur, but neither
victims are Abbie. Major Cook joins Jack in the search of
Abbie. They seem to hit it off. He offers her a job with Private
– in America. Maybe we’ll see in her in a future
storyline.
The authors offer up enough curves to keep
the reader/listener involved. Expect plenty of action as well,
even in this two hour and eighteen minute audio. Expect a
stunning conclusion.
Narrators Christian Coulson (Paddington
